Diaper rash on baby's delicate skin is something that can't be avoided, unfortunately! However, it CAN be managed effectively using a premium blend of beneficial oils in a formula that does NOT contain mineral oil or other petrochemicals, and is toxin-free.

*ORGANIC CALENDULA-INFUSED OLIVE OIL -- I use a premium organic extra virgin olive oil formulated especially for cosmetic applications, and I infuse it with whole, organic calendula (marigold) flowers. The infusion process is time-consuming. I pour several ounces of olive oil in a jar filled with whole calendula flowers to immerse the flowers completely in the oil. I then either place the jar into a dark cupboard for 2-3 weeks, or use a crockpot to heat the jar for several hours. When the process is complete, I strain the oil to separate it from the solid matter (calendula flowers) and use it as one of the ingredients in my diaper rash balm formula.

Calendula has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It's also used as an antiseptic. Calendula essential oil can be used, however an infused oil is the preferred way to get all the benefits of the plant without the skin sensitivity challenges that sometimes occurs when using more powerful and concentrated essential oils.

Olive oil contains many antioxidants and vitamins, and is moisturizing and anti-bacterial.

*EVENING PRIMROSE OIL -- A gentle, yet powerful oil that contains high amounts of linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that promotes skin health by reinforcing the skin barrier, preserving water in the epidermis and regulating sebum production. Evening Primrose Oil is traditionally referred to as the ‘King’s cure-all’ due to its many healing properties!


*ZINC OXIDE -- A common ingredient in diaper rash products, and for good reason! It soothes and protects your baby's skin by creating an impermeable barrier to block moisture and benefit irritated, inflamed and sensitive skin.

Other nourishing ingredients are also included in this formula (Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Peach Kernel Oil and Beeswax), as well as baby-safe amounts of premium, therapeutic-grade German (Blue) Chamomile essential oil (an aid in easing diaper rashes, as well as being anti-inflammatory), and premium, therapeutic-grade Tangerine essential oil (helps calm irritated skin, as well as having antifungal and antiseptic properties).
