Sea Salt and Texturizing Spray for Hair

Welcome to SUMMER - and to my BRAND NEW hair product! Here's a great product to achieve that beachy, tousled, casual hair that can be so fun! My 'SEA SALT and TEXTURIZING SPRAY for HAIR' brings out any hidden waviness or curls you didn't even know you had! 

I first made this for my 23-year-old son who had been using a store-bought brand that irritated his scalp. He asked me, "Mum (his cute way of addressing me!), can you make a salt spray for my hair?" Well, you KNOW what I said! "ABSOLUTELY!"

After using it daily and really liking it, he asked for a second bottle. I then knew I needed to tidy up the formula and go public! He said it didn't irritate his scalp at all.

Well, of course - as all the products I make are non-toxic and I'm proud that I put lots of thought into creating my custom formulations and use only nourishing ingredients that provide lots of benefits!

However, my son has thick hair - and mine is very fine. I typically blow dry my hair straight. If I don't, it has some wave. But it also has a lot of curliness on the bottom layers. I could rarely let it dry naturally, though. The top turns out flat and it just looks UGH. 

So I used this spray on my own hair and I was really happy with the results! 

I spritzed the product all over my freshly-washed and towel-dried hair and brushed it through to ensure the product was evenly distributed throughout. Then I just scrunched it all into place and allowed it to air dry!

If I was at the pool or the beach, it would have looked great just leaving it as is. I happened to be going out that day to (coincidentally) meet my son for lunch and to bring him his second bottle, so I added a few pumps of hair spray to make my hair look a bit more finished. 

My hair felt healthy, soft, and nourished! And my new, tousled look lasted me a couple more days looking good and feeling soft with no frizz!

You don't have to scrunch and wear your hair tousled to use this spray, either! Try blow-drying it after applying to freshly-washed, damp hair to make your finished style soft and manageable! This is a water-based product so it won't make your hair feel oily.

A few of the ingredients that really make this product unique are:

Aloe Leaf Juice - Helps strengthen strands and boost scalp health. 

Horsetail Extract - Rich in silica. Known for strengthening hair, improving shine and texture, and potentially promoting hair growth. It may also help with inflammation on the scalp and protect hair from damage. 

Seaweed Powder - Rich in minerals. Nourishes and strengthens. Stimulates scalp, promoting hair growth, and relieves itching.

Hydrolyzed Rice Protein - Strengthens hair by fortifying hair strands, reducing breakage and improving elasticity. Adds thickness and fullness to hair, making it appear more voluminous.  Enhances shine and manageability. Moisturizes and nourishes. 

Panthenol - Acts as an emollient by smoothing out the imperfections in the hair shaft. 

PLUS: The essential oil blend with Coconut, Sweet Orange, and Bergamot essential oils is not only beneficial for the hair, but smells scrumptious (and will remind you of summer no matter what time of the year you use it)!
